London Fashion Week Festival February 2018
This month I had the pleasure of hosting a style talk at London Fashion Week Festival with Pascale Banks (style_mum) in the VIP LUXE LOUNGE.
London Fashion Week Festival is an event that embraces British Fashion and our love for shopping. The way the event supports and promotes independent brands alongside those more established is so encouraging, nothing pleases me more than being able to show my personal favourites from the collections to those wanting to see whats good to invest in for the months ahead.
For those that want to know what was selected here are a few highlights….
From the Olivia Rubin collection, I selected the Ines Maxi dress in Lilac. This season is going to see so much Lilac coming through and this dress totally embodies the feminine sheer look. I love it because it is the perfect dress for a summer garden party, wedding or christening it totally works with a pair of trainers and a denim / leather jacket.
I also selected her Floral Embroidered trench coat. I love the twist of the florals and the fact that it is the perfect weight and colour to take you through Spring and Summer.
A big trend this season will be the slim cat eye sunglasses. I have loved Vow over the passed few years and this SS18 collection is just as stunning and on point as all the past seasons. For the Luxe lounge talk I chose styles that were slightly bigger than the slim shape. The new collection drops in March and I know it will be just as amazing as all the previous collections.
I selected the EVE White Tort cat-eye sunglasses and the MIA Tort. Both stunning frames that are so well made. If you are looking for a new pair of sunglasses this year, I’d highly recommend this brand.
A familiar brand to us all but one I love as they generally push the boundaries of footwear making the catwalk more accessible. Trainers are massive this season in all sense of the word. Balenciaga have brought back the big ugly trainer but Kurt Geiger have made some beautiful feminine trainers that will work with your suiting to your summer dresses.
I chose the LUSTRE trainer and the LINFORD trainer these are both super feminine styles for those wanting to be fashion forward, girlie but neutral.
Aurora London Bags
If you’re a fan of the cross over body bag and you haven’t herd of Aurora London, you need to press on this link. Aurora London have the most beautifully designed and crafted cross body bags and they even have the option to monogram. This SS18 more colours have been released, I’m so in love with the MINK colour, its so on trend for Summer and at just £98 its not only a really good value investment, you are supporting a British brand that has put so much love and thought into the production and quality of their bags.
Jane Carr is a beautiful brand that I have been supporting for some years. I fell in love with them when they started making the silk bandana scarf. This scarf combines a fun fashion edge within a classic wardrobe staple. When choosing a scarf consider not just the colour trends but the colours you tend to wear in your wardrobe. Try to make the scarf compliment or contrast your existing colours, you don’t want it standing out on its own not working with anything you already own.
If you missed London Fashion Week Festival don’t worry it will be back in September and no doubt stronger than ever.
